Distinguished Speaker Program
The Distinguished Speaker Program is a joint series of World Affairs Council of America and The World Affairs Council of Puerto Rico. The World Affairs Council of Puerto Rico regularly hosts prominent leaders from around the world to address current and compelling issues faced by the international community. This speaker series provide the public with an opportunity to meet policymakers, foreign policy experts, international business leaders and diplomats who are closely involved with today's crucial international issues.

Roundtable Forum
The Roundtable Forum is program design to bring together local, national, world leaders, scholars and business leaders to discuss current global affairs from different perspectives and, how these global affairs can benefit and/or impact Puerto Rico’s future.

Consul “Open House” Series
The World Affairs Council of Puerto Rico in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of America, Foreign Consulate offices in Puerto Rico and Embassies in Washington, DC will coordinate open house for Council members and their families. The program will allow Council members to meet diplomats from other countries currently assigned in Puerto Rico and the US.

World Quest
World Quest is a Flagship Program of the world affairs council system. The game was invented by the Charlotte Council and is now widely played at the adult and high school levels around the country. It is a team game testing competitors' knowledge of international affairs, geography, history, and culture. The World Affairs Councils of America started the national competition in Washington, DC in March 2003. Participants come from high schools that work with the World Affairs Council network. The game is a contest between 4-person teams representing a high school. Teams compete by answering rounds of questions projected by PowerPoint onto a screen. The questions test their knowledge of current affairs, world leaders, geography, recent history, flags, international organizations, countries, regions, the world economy, culture, religion, and more. It is moderated by a prominent person in the field of international affairs or journalism.


Teacher of the Year Award

Each year, The World Affairs Council of Puerto Rico selects as its Teacher of the Year a Puerto Rico educator demonstrated outstanding dedication to teaching with a global perspective. The Teacher of the Year receives the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Award for Excellence in International Education – a $1000 grant designed to advance the study of international affairs in local schools.

World Affairs Scholar
The Ramon Power y Giralt Student Scholarship Program - The Council awards $2,000 in scholarships, all to one student or divided between two students. The scholarship will be awarded based on financial need, academic ability, character, leadership, and community involvement. The recipient must have a demonstrated interest in international issues and intend to major in a social science related to world affairs such as international studies, economics, political science, geography, anthropology, or history.
